Snooze a task until later

Hide a task from today's list until a specific date or trigger.

Web ChatSMS

The prompt

Snooze this task until [TIME].

A task list with every commitment for the next six months is unusable. Snoozing keeps the list short and trustworthy by hiding what doesn’t matter today.

What alfred_ does

  1. Sets a snooze rule on the task
  2. The task disappears from today’s view and returns at the specified time
  3. If you snooze “until I hear back from [person]”, alfred_ watches for that signal in email

Tips

  • Use natural dates: “after the launch”, “two weeks”, “next Monday”
  • Snooze for trigger, not date: “until the proposal is signed” is sharper than “until next Friday”
  • Pair with reminders: “Snooze, but ping me if the trigger hasn’t happened by end of month”

Variations

  • Push this to next week.
  • Hide this task until after the launch.
  • Snooze until I hear back from Sarah.
  • Move this to Q3 — not relevant right now.

Best for

Tasks that are real but not today: blocked on a dependency, queued behind something more urgent, or simply scheduled for a future window.
