Snooze a task until later
Hide a task from today's list until a specific date or trigger.
The prompt
Snooze this task until [TIME].
A task list with every commitment for the next six months is unusable. Snoozing keeps the list short and trustworthy by hiding what doesn’t matter today.
What alfred_ does
- Sets a snooze rule on the task
- The task disappears from today’s view and returns at the specified time
- If you snooze “until I hear back from [person]”, alfred_ watches for that signal in email
Tips
- Use natural dates: “after the launch”, “two weeks”, “next Monday”
- Snooze for trigger, not date: “until the proposal is signed” is sharper than “until next Friday”
- Pair with reminders: “Snooze, but ping me if the trigger hasn’t happened by end of month”

Best for
Tasks that are real but not today: blocked on a dependency, queued behind something more urgent, or simply scheduled for a future window.
