The prompt

Send [TEMPLATE NAME] intro to [PERSON OR EMAIL]

This is one of the highest-leverage workflows in alfred_. Save an intro email template once, name it after the company or pitch, then send personalized versions of it forever with a four-word prompt.

How it works end-to-end

  1. You save a template with a name (e.g. “DeltaX intro,” “Raven display intro”). See Save an intro template.
  2. You ask alfred_ to send it to a specific person, Send [name] intro to [person]
  3. alfred_ personalizes: pulls the recipient’s first name, looks up your prior history with them if any, and adjusts tone
  4. alfred_ surfaces a draft for your review before sending, your approval is always required

Real prompts that work

The template is invoked by name. These all work:

  • “Send DeltaX intro to daniel.chacon@fluenceenergy.com
  • “Send Raven intro to attached person” (when you’ve attached a contact / business card)
  • “Send Zetic intro to this person” (when you’re viewing their email)
  • “Send intro email to Jeff at Bosch” (alfred_ resolves Jeff from your contacts)

Adjusting tone for warm vs. cold

By default alfred_ writes intros as cold outreach. If you know the person, say so:

  • “Send DeltaX intro to Mike, he and I have history, make it warmer than cold”
  • “Since this is not a cold email, he knows me well, make it more warm”
  • “He moved to Qcells from SK. I know him well so the email could be warmer”

alfred_ will reference shared history naturally without making it weird.

Multi-recipient sends

You can fan an intro out to several people in one prompt:

  • “Send DeltaX intro to those 3 people. Put changsup as To and the other two as CC.”
  • “Send Raven intro to Kurt and Jason, they might not remember me, it’s been a while.”

Listing your templates

  • “What intro templates do I have?”
  • “Show me the Raven-RAM intro template”
  • “How many clean intro drafts do you have?”

The signature gotcha

If you use Gmail’s auto-signature feature, your template body should NOT include your signature, Gmail will append it automatically when sending. If alfred_ is producing emails with a duplicate signature, the fix is to clear the signature from the template body. Tell alfred_:

“Remove the signature from inside the template body. Gmail auto-appends so it duplicates.”

Variations

  • Send DeltaX intro email to changsup.moon@qcells.com
  • Send Raven intro to attached person
  • Send Zetic intro to this person
  • Send intro email to Jeff at Bosch
  • Send DeltaX intro to those 3 people, put changsup as To and the other two as CC
  • Use the Raven-RAM template for a personalized email to Chen Su, auto nudge on
