The prompt

Every [CADENCE], summarize [TOPIC] and [DELIVER WHERE].

The standard daily briefing is one recurring report. This prompt is about setting up your own, scoped to whatever topic, person, or queue you care about, on whatever cadence you want.

What alfred_ does

  1. Sets up a scheduled job, at the cadence you specified
  2. At each fire time: pulls the data, summarizes, delivers
  3. Output goes wherever you said (in-app, SMS, email, append-to-note)
  4. Stays running until you pause or remove it

What can be recurring

Topic / project digest:

  • “Every day at 9am, summarize any activities related to the 10 PMF companies”
  • “Every Monday, give me a status on the Acme deal”

Queue digest:

  • “Every morning, what’s on my list today?”
  • “Every Friday at 5pm, what didn’t get done this week?”

Person digest:

  • “Every Monday, summarize anything new from the Acme team”
  • “Daily, anything from my CEO that I should see first”

Tracking append:

Adjusting the standard daily briefing

The default morning briefing is itself a recurring summary you can tune:

  • “Set my morning briefing to 6:30am”
  • “Move my morning briefing to 7am”
  • “Add the calendar section to my morning briefing”
  • “Skip the briefing on weekends”

Pausing or removing

When the project ends, the recurring report should too:

  • “Pause the 2026 PMF digest” (real user phrasing)
  • “Stop the daily Acme summary”
  • “Turn off the Monday status report”

To check what’s running:

  • “What recurring summaries do I have?”
  • “What workflows are scheduled?”

Output channel

You can specify where you want it:

  • “…send it to me on SMS”
  • “…email it to me”
  • “…just put it in my morning briefing”
  • “…append to my [NOTE] note”

Variations

  • Every day at 9am, summarize any activities that relate to those 10 PMF companies
  • Set my morning briefing to 6:30am
  • Every Monday morning, give me a status on the Acme deal
  • Every Friday at 5pm, summarize what got done this week
  • Pause the 2026 PMF digest

Best for

Ongoing tracking on something specific, a deal pipeline, a project, a queue, a relationship, that should keep updating without you having to ask.
