Time zone and details
Under Settings → Preferences:
- Time zone is used for every time alfred_ mentions, when your brief and reminders arrive, and how “Friday” or “EOD” is read. Follow-up timing pauses for the weekend in this time zone too.
- Location adds weather and local news to your brief. Clear it and alfred_ works it out from your phone and time zone.
- Phone is the number you text alfred_ from.
- Set my time zone to London
- Update my signature to: Dana Lee, Brightline Accounting
- Make my drafts more formal
Quiet hours
Quiet hours stop texts from alfred_ at night, or whenever you choose. They’re off until you turn them on, under Settings → Notifications → Quiet hours, with a starting window of 10 PM to 9 AM that you can change. Or text “turn on quiet hours from 9pm to 7am”.
| During quiet hours | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your morning brief, if scheduled inside the window | Waits until quiet hours end |
| Reminders | Wait until quiet hours end |
| Email rule alerts (“text me when…”) | Wait, and arrive together as one text when quiet hours end |
| You text alfred_ | It answers |
| Email briefs and the app | Keep working |
Quiet hours control when alfred_ contacts you. They don’t stop meetings being booked at those times.
Email per address
Each connected address can have its own writing style, signature (added to mail alfred_ sends from it), drafts setting, and auto-archive choices (archived mail stays in your mailbox). If you reply to customers from a business mailbox, add company facts and tone under Business voice.
Video links
Open Integrations → Zoom and add your link, and alfred_ puts it on invites when you ask for a Zoom call. On a Google calendar it can create a Google Meet link; on an Outlook calendar, a Teams link.
