Sharing and access
How a teammate shares their client email with others on the team: they agree first, they can stop at any time, and every read and send is logged where they can see it.
By default, each person’s mail is private to them. Sharing is something each teammate turns on for themselves.
How sharing starts
An admin can Ask to share from the Members page of the admin console. The teammate gets the request and decides. Only they can turn sharing on.
What sharing allows
Once a teammate agrees, the people the team has given access can open that teammate’s shared mail in Shared inboxes, and answer client email for them. Shared inboxes show everyone who shares, or one person at a time, with search and folders like a normal inbox.
The access log
Every read and every send through a shared inbox is logged under the name of the person who did it. The teammate whose mail it is can see the log.
Stopping
A teammate can stop sharing at any time. Access ends right away.
What stays private
Sharing covers mail. Each person’s own chats with alfred_, texts, tasks and routines stay theirs.
