Summarize a thread
Get the gist of a long email thread without reading every message.
The prompt
Summarize my thread with [PERSON], what's the current ask, what's still open, and what did I last commit to?
For threads with 10+ messages or that span weeks, alfred_ produces a clean summary with the key points so you can pick up without re-reading everything.
What alfred_ does
- Pulls the full thread
- Extracts: who’s asking what, what’s been agreed, what’s still open
- Highlights anything alfred_ thinks needs your decision
- Notes the most recent message and who it’s from
Tips
- Use it before replying: summarize first, then ask alfred_ to draft a response based on the summary
- Ask for specific aspects: “what did I commit to?”, “what’s the unresolved question?”
