Pull tasks out of an email
Convert commitments and asks in a thread into tracked tasks with deadlines.
The prompt
Pull all the tasks out of this email, anything I need to do or that I committed to.
Long emails often hide multiple commitments. This prompt asks alfred_ to read carefully and extract them all as tracked tasks.
What alfred_ does
- Reads the email (or thread, if specified)
- Identifies every commitment (“I’ll send…”), ask (“can you…”), and deliverable mentioned
- Creates a task for each, with the deadline if one was given
- Links the source email so you can jump back to context
Tips
- Use after long meeting recaps: when someone sends “here’s what we agreed” with 6 bullets
- Use for client kickoffs: they often hide 3–4 deliverables
- Combine with summary: “summarize this thread and pull out the tasks”
What you’ll see back
A list of created tasks, each linked to the source. You can edit titles, deadlines, or delete any that aren’t real tasks.
