The Daily Brief by SMS
What is in the Daily Brief, when the SMS arrives, and how you act on it from the app or by text.
The Daily Brief is the morning list of what needs you: flagged mail, drafts ready to send, follow-ups, tasks, and the calendar. You can get a short version by SMS as well as in the app.
What is in the brief
- Emails that need a decision or a reply
- Drafts waiting for approval
- Threads still waiting on a response
- Tasks due today, including ones pulled out of email
- Meetings and whether the day is meeting-heavy or has real focus time
The in-app brief is the full view. The SMS is the short version: calendar and tasks for the day, so you see it before you open a laptop.
When it arrives
The SMS brief is optional. Turn it on in Settings. Default target is 7am local. The in-app brief generates when you open alfred_ in the morning.
From the app: send a draft, dismiss or snooze a task, review a conflict. From SMS: you can text alfred_ the same way you use the web chat.
It is not a newsletter digest. Newsletters were already archived in triage. It is not a meeting notetaker.
$29.99/month or $299.99/year. 7-day trial.
