Overview

Connect Slack and alfred_ keeps up with the channels and DMs you're in, so a question someone asked you there doesn't slip. Ask what the team said, catch up on a channel, or see who is still waiting on an answer, from the web or from your phone.

How it works

Ask alfred_ about Slack

  • Find what someone said, in any channel or DM you're in.
  • Catch up on a channel since the day you name.
  • Read a DM thread in full, without scrolling back through it.
  • See who in Slack is waiting on an answer from you.

Ask alfred_ in Slack

  • Add alfred_ to your workspace and send it a DM. It answers from your email and calendar, in a thread.
  • @mention it in a channel it has been added to, and it answers in that thread.
  • Replies, forwards and invites are shown to you first and wait for your yes.
  • Each teammate links their own account and is answered from their own email and calendar.

  • “Is anyone in Slack waiting on an answer from me?”

Configure

In alfred_, open Integrations, choose Slack and click Connect. Pick your workspace and click Allow.

To ask alfred_ from inside Slack, press Add to Slack on the same page. alfred_ sends you a DM to start.

alfred_ reads the channels and DMs you're in and nothing else. It never posts as you: a message goes to Slack only when you send it.
