Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using alfred_ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. alfred_ is operated by Knowledge Butler, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. If you're using alfred_ on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

Your Account

To use alfred_, you must create an account. You're responsible for:

• • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• • All activities that occur under your account
• • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• • Providing accurate account information

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.

Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for 12+ months may be deleted with 30 days notice.

Connected Accounts (Email & Calendar)

By connecting Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, or Outlook Calendar:

• • You authorize alfred_ to access your email, calendar, and contacts data
• • You understand that email content is processed by third-party AI services
• • You can disconnect these accounts at any time from Settings

Third-Party Platform Terms: Your use of connected accounts remains subject to the terms of the respective platform providers.

AI Features (alfred_)

alfred_ uses AI to analyze email, generate draft responses, extract tasks, and create briefings. You understand:

• • AI outputs are suggestions, not guarantees. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content.
• • No automatic actions without approval. alfred_ never sends emails or takes actions without your explicit confirmation.
• • Data is processed by third-party AI. Your data is not used to train AI models.
• • No warranty on AI output. AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranty.

Beta and Preview Features

Beta features are provided for testing and may be less reliable. Beta features are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use alfred_ to:

• • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• • Send spam, phishing, or other unwanted communications
• • Harass, threaten, or harm others
• • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• • Use the Service to build a competing product

Intellectual Property

alfred_, including its code, design, and content, is owned by Knowledge Butler, Inc.

Your Content: You retain ownership of your emails, tasks, notes, and other content. By using alfred_, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide and improve the Service.

AI-Generated Output: To the extent permitted by law, we assign to you all right, title, and interest in AI-generated content produced for you.

Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback.

Payment and Subscriptions

• • Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
• • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel.
• • Trials: If you sign up during a trial period, you won't be charged until the trial ends.
• • Cancellation: Cancel anytime from Settings. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
• • Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable except as required by law.
• • Price Changes: We may change prices with 30 days notice.

Privacy and Data

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We don't sell your personal data. You can delete your account and data at any time.

SMS and Text Messages

By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving text messages from alfred_ related to the Service. Message and data rates may apply. You can manage SMS preferences in your account settings.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied. You use AI-generated drafts and suggestions at your own risk.

Regulated Industries and Compliance

alfred_ is a general-purpose productivity tool, not designed for any specific regulated industry. If you use alfred_ in a regulated industry, you are solely responsible for compliance.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KNOWLEDGE BUTLER, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Knowledge Butler, Inc. from any claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or violation of third-party rights.

Termination

You can stop using alfred_ at any time by canceling and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Your data will be retained for 14 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal dispute, attempt to resolve it by contacting connor@get-alfred.ai for at least 60 days.

Binding Arbitration: Disputes are resolved through final and binding individual arbitration.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND KNOWLEDGE BUTLER, INC. AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by sending notice to connor@get-alfred.ai within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay due to events beyond its reasonable control.

General Provisions

• • Entire Agreement: These terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement.
• • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
• • Assignment: You may not assign your rights. We may assign ours to a successor.
