What alfred_ does

Full email management via text

"What's in my inbox?" — alfred_ reads your inbox, drafts replies, sends emails, and archives messages. All via text message.

Calendar from your pocket

"What does tomorrow look like?" — check your schedule, create events, reschedule meetings, and check availability without opening an app.

Task capture on the go

"Remind me to call Sarah at 3pm" — add tasks, set reminders, complete items, and review your list. All via text.

Intelligent routing

No slash commands or keywords. Just text naturally. An LLM-based router analyzes your message and conversation context to route it to the right specialist agent.

Donna autonomy control

"What did you handle today?" — review what your AI assistant did, approve pending drafts, skip suggestions, and adjust autonomy levels via text.

Multi-step execution

"Schedule meeting with Sarah and email Mike about the budget" — alfred_ handles both actions in a single response. No back-and-forth needed.

How it works

Verify your phone number

2

Text alfred_

4

Get concise responses

Responses are optimized for SMS — 2-3 sentences, plain text, actionable. Links sent as separate messages for easy tapping.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SMS work with iMessage?

Yes. alfred_ supports iMessage (blue bubbles), standard SMS (green bubbles), and RCS. The experience is the same across all protocols.

What can I do via text?

Everything alfred_ does — email (read, draft, send), calendar (view, create, RSVP), tasks (add, complete, plan), notes (save, read), kanban (view, move cards), web search, and Donna autonomy management.

How does alfred_ know what I mean?

An LLM-based router analyzes your message and conversation context. Say "move it to 4pm" after discussing a calendar event, and alfred_ knows you mean the event — not a kanban card.

Is there a message limit?

You can send up to 30 messages per hour. If you hit the limit, alfred_ will let you know and suggest waiting a moment.

Can alfred_ text me proactively?

Not yet. Currently, alfred_ only responds to your messages. Proactive notifications (e.g., texting you when a decision is needed) are on the roadmap.

How do I set up SMS?

Go to Account Settings in alfred_, add your phone number, verify it, and enable SMS. Then text alfred_'s number to start.
