Corporate Emails Franchise Deadlines Every Week. Can They Land on My Calendar and To-Do List Automatically?
The Deadline Inside Paragraph Six.
For franchise owners and multi-unit operators: a routine that reads each email from the franchisor as it arrives and turns stated deadlines into a to-do with a due date and a calendar entry, so a compliance date isn't buried in a newsletter.
Can franchise deadlines from corporate's emails land on my calendar and to-do list automatically?
Make a routine in alfred_: "When an email from @brandcorp.example arrives with a deadline for us, add a to-do due that day and put the deadline on my calendar"
It runs when a matching email arrives, reads the deadline from the email, and creates the to-do and the calendar entry
Emails with no deadline, such as newsletters and announcements, are left alone
Tasks with a due time can remind you by text
Corporate's weekly email has twelve sections. The one deadline that matters to you is in paragraph six.
The short answer: make a routine in alfred_: “When an email from @brandcorp.example arrives with a deadline for us, add a to-do due that day and put the deadline on my calendar.” It runs when a matching email arrives, reads the deadline, and creates both. Emails without a deadline are left alone, and tasks with a due time can remind you by text.
Paragraph six
You own four locations of a quick-service restaurant franchise. Corporate emails constantly: a weekly operations newsletter, marketing calendars, menu changes, training reminders, compliance notices. Each one is mostly irrelevant to you and occasionally contains one sentence that isn’t: “All franchisees must submit the Q4 food safety self-audit by November 15.”
That sentence was paragraph six of a twelve-section newsletter you skimmed on your phone. On November 16 you get a polite email from your franchise business consultant.
The native ways, and where they stop
Reading every email carefully. It works when you have time to read every email carefully.
A folder for corporate mail. It keeps the mail together. It doesn’t pull the deadline out.
The franchisor’s portal. If corporate posts every deadline in its portal and you check it weekly, that’s the record. Plenty of deadlines still arrive first, or only, by email.
Make the routine
Connect the inbox corporate writes to, and your calendar. Sign in with Google or Microsoft; your password stays with them.
On the Routines page, choose Create a routine, or ask alfred_ in the app.
Say it in one sentence: “When an email from @brandcorp.example arrives with a deadline for us, add a to-do due that day with the store name if it says, and put the deadline on my calendar.”
alfred_ shows you the routine before you turn it on. See Make your own.
What it creates
To-do: Submit Q4 food safety self-audit (all locations). Due Nov 15. From corporate’s Oct 24 operations newsletter.
Calendar: “Deadline: Q4 food safety self-audit,” all day, Saturday, November 15.
Illustrative example. The franchisor and dates are invented.
Where each step happens
Desktop: make the routine on the Routines page; to-dos live on the Tasks page.
Phone: ask “what franchise deadlines do I have this week?” by text, and get reminders for to-dos with a due time.
Monday: turn on Plan my week for the week ahead, deadlines included.
The honest caveat
alfred_ reads the emails that reach the inboxes you connect, so a deadline posted only in the franchisor’s portal isn’t seen. It reads deadlines from the email’s wording, so check the first few to-dos against the emails before you rely on it. It doesn’t reply to corporate on its own. alfred_ is a paid product, and routines run on the credits your plan includes; plans are on the pricing page.

Can franchise deadlines from corporate's emails land on my calendar and to-do list automatically?
Yes. Make a routine in alfred_: "When an email from @brandcorp.example arrives with a deadline for us, add a to-do due that day and put the deadline on my calendar." alfred_ shows you the routine before you turn it on. It runs when a matching email arrives, reads the deadline, and creates the to-do and the calendar entry. Emails without a deadline are left alone.
What counts as a deadline?
Whatever the email asks you to do by a date: submit a health inspection report, complete a training module, confirm an order, update menu prices. Say in the routine what matters to you ("deadlines for us, not deadlines for corporate staff") and check the first few it creates.
I own four locations. Can each to-do name the store?
Yes, if the email says which store. Add it to the routine: "put the store name in the to-do". An email that applies to every location makes one to-do.
Will it reply to corporate?
No. The routine adds to-dos and calendar entries. To reply, ask alfred_ to write the email, and it sends when you say send.
Can I see all of this week's franchise deadlines at once?
Yes. Ask "what franchise deadlines do I have this week?" by text or in the app, or turn on Plan my week for a Monday email of the week ahead.
