Neither ChatGPT nor Claude has a built-in Yahoo Mail connector. Here is how to give both your Yahoo or AOL inbox with alfred_, using a Yahoo app password, next to your Gmail, Outlook and iCloud accounts.

Yahoo Mail still holds a lot of real business: the address on the invoices you’ve sent for twenty years, the one your longest clients know. Then you look for it in ChatGPT’s plugins or Claude’s connectors, and it isn’t there.
Why there’s no Yahoo option
ChatGPT has plugins for Gmail, Outlook and, since October 27, iCloud. Claude has connectors for Google and Microsoft 365. Neither has a built-in Yahoo Mail connector. Community-built Yahoo MCP servers exist, but most run on your own computer and cover Yahoo only.
alfred_ connects to Yahoo and AOL with an app password and brings them to both ChatGPT and Claude, next to your other accounts.
How to connect Yahoo Mail through alfred_
Make a Yahoo app password. In your Yahoo account, open Account Security, choose to generate an app password, name it alfred_ and copy it.
Connect Yahoo to alfred_. Sign up at get-alfred.ai, add an account and choose Yahoo or AOL Mail. Enter your address and the app password.
Add alfred_ to Claude. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector named alfred_ with the address https://get-alfred.ai/api/mcp. Step-by-step: Connect Claude.
Sign in and choose what to allow. Reading is the default; tick sending if you want the AI to send from your Yahoo address.

Can Claude read Yahoo Mail?
With alfred_, yes. Connect Yahoo Mail to alfred_, then add alfred_ to Claude in Settings, Connectors with the address https://get-alfred.ai/api/mcp. Claude has no built-in Yahoo connector.
Why does Yahoo need an app password?
Yahoo doesn't let other apps sign in with your main Yahoo password. You make a separate app password in your Yahoo account's security settings and give that to alfred_. You can remove it there at any time.
Does AOL Mail work too?
Yes. AOL is part of Yahoo's mail family and connects to alfred_ the same way, with an app password.
Can I search Yahoo and Gmail together?
Yes. Connect both to alfred_ and one question in ChatGPT or Claude searches both, saying which inbox each answer came from. alfred_ holds up to six accounts.
