More AI assistants you text are reaching into the inbox, and Pally added several email and money features in October. Here is what happened, what Pally says it does with your email, and how it uses your data.
What happened
Pally’s changelog lists the features by date:
- October 15: two money automations, each with its own switch. Money back goes after flight price drops, refunds, delay compensation and hotel rebooks. Bills and renewals warns you before trials convert or plans renew, and flags bill rises, duplicate charges, fees and cheaper options.
- October 18: inbox triage, which the changelog says “keeps your inbox to mail that needs you.”
- October 30: city lookup, announced on X. You text a city, and Pally checks your contacts, X, LinkedIn and your Trusted Pals’ networks for people you know there.
- October 31: inbox triage now studies your mailbox first and asks how you want mail filed.
What Pally does with email and calendar
When you turn on inbox triage, the changelog says, Pally “archives the rest as it lands and every hour through the day, and drafts replies in Gmail and Outlook.”
Pally’s facts page says it connects to “your email (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud), calendars, WhatsApp, your iMessages (through the Pally Mac app),” along with work tools such as Slack, Notion and Linear. Pally also gets its own phone number and email address, which you can hand out the way you would an assistant’s.
Its privacy policy, last updated October 30, lists “To train and evaluate our AI models, unless you opt out” among its uses of data. You can turn that off by asking Pally or at my.pally.com. The policy says Pally does not use Google data “to train generalized AI models.”
What it costs
Pally’s pricing page says it is free, with almost unlimited usage limits and no card or waitlist. Two paid options exist: Cloud Mac, an add-on at $95 a month, and Pally VIP, offered by invitation at $1,000 a month or $10,000 a year. Prices as listed on November 3, 2026.
Pally’s site says it plans to earn a fee from merchants when you buy through it.
If you run client work over email
Pally’s examples are mostly personal: birthdays, group chats, bookings and refunds. If the problem is client email slipping, alfred_ is built for that job.
alfred_ is an AI assistant for client-facing teams, and each person on the team gets their own. It reads your email across up to six Gmail, Outlook and IMAP accounts, flags the emails that need your answer, and keeps one list of the replies you owe and the replies you’re waiting on. It sends a morning brief by email or text, and you can ask it for things on the web, on iPhone, or by text. Nothing is sent until you approve it. Plans start at $29.99 a month, and teams are $49.99 a seat on one bill.
