Another AI assistant has launched, this one aimed at executives inside large companies rather than at everyday errands. Here is what happened, what Rocker says it does, and what it says about email.
What happened
Rocker came out of stealth on October 28, 2026 with $12.85 million in funding, Upstarts Media reported. Greycroft led the round, with Anthropic, Menlo Ventures’ Anthology Fund, Matchstick and Stripe taking part, plus personal checks from leaders at Stripe, Vercel and Meta.
CEO Alex Vogenthaler ran product for Stripe’s Connect marketplace and enterprise products and earlier spent more than a decade at Google. Peter Terrill led engineering for Connect at Stripe, which bought his earlier startup, Payable.
What Rocker does with email and calendar
Upstarts Media describes Rocker as an app that connects to Google Docs, Slack, email and other work tools. It tracks a user’s top tasks and objectives, then works to catch “critical decisions or messages that are slipping through the cracks.” For many users, the flags arrive in a ping at the end of the workday.
Rocker’s site puts it this way: “An AI assistant for individuals. A nervous system for companies.” The site says it can be used individually or across a company, and that it can be deployed into a customer’s own cloud environment.
Neither source names a calendar connection or says which email providers Rocker supports. The early users Upstarts quotes used Rocker for missed Slack messages and for refocusing their day, and Upstarts noted that those users have closer ties to the startup than a neutral party would.
Rocker is not meant for people who want to build their own agents. “It’s your Rocker, singular, not your Rockers, plural,” Terrill told Upstarts.
What it costs
Rocker’s homepage lists no pricing as of November 3, 2026. Upstarts reported that the waitlist opened on launch day and prioritizes larger teams, and that Rocker is in discussions and test use with large organizations it declined to name. The site asks you to request an invite for yourself or your company.
If you run client work over email
Rocker is aimed at executives in large organizations, with access by waitlist. If the problem is client email slipping, alfred_ is built for that job.
alfred_ is an AI assistant for client-facing teams, and each person on the team gets their own. It reads your email across up to six Gmail, Outlook and IMAP accounts, flags the emails that need your answer, and keeps one list of the replies you owe and the replies you’re waiting on. It sends a morning brief by email or text, and you can ask it for things on the web, on iPhone, or by text. Nothing is sent until you approve it. Plans start at $29.99 a month, and teams are $49.99 a seat on one bill.
