Instinct raised again, a month after its last round. Here is what happened, what Instinct says it does, and what that means if your work runs on client email.

What happened

On September 28, 2026, Instinct announced a $1 billion Series C that values the company at $10 billion, with Sequoia Capital, Benchmark and Coatue in the round, SiliconANGLE reported. It came a month after a $250 million round, co-led by Index Ventures and Benchmark, at a $2.5 billion valuation.

Instinct is made by Spear Street Technology Inc. and founded by Noah Shinn, who told SiliconANGLE the company is building a personal agent for “the deeply personal nuances of everyday life.”

What Instinct does

Instinct’s site puts it in one line: “a personal assistant that understands what you’re working on and what’s important to you.” There is no new app to learn: “You can text or call it. It can use a phone and computer in the same way that you do.”

The examples Instinct shows are everyday errands: ordering ingredients for a recipe, booking a train home, ordering groceries, sending flowers, finding a court for the weekend. SiliconANGLE adds a few more from the company:

  • Phone concierge tasks: calls for restaurant reservations, doctor’s appointments, cancellations and bills.
  • Plans with other people’s assistants: coordinating with the Instinct assistants of trusted friends and coworkers, sharing files to settle schedules.
  • Location-aware suggestions through location sharing in iMessage.

Who can use it

SiliconANGLE described Instinct as still in early access. Its website offers “Try Instinct” and “Invite a friend,” and has no public pricing page as of October 28, 2026.

If you run client work over email

Instinct is built around the errands of everyday life. If the problem is client email slipping, alfred_ is built for that job.

alfred_ is an AI assistant for client-facing teams, and each person on the team gets their own. It reads your email across up to six Gmail, Outlook and IMAP accounts, flags the emails that need your answer, and keeps one list of the replies you owe and the replies you’re waiting on. It sends a morning brief by email or text, and you can ask it for things on the web, on iPhone, or by text. Nothing is sent until you approve it. Plans start at $29.99 a month, and teams are $49.99 a seat on one bill. The two side by side are in alfred_ vs Instinct.
