Ollie, the family assistant parents texted to keep the week together, shuts down on November 6, 2026. It’s a real loss for the families who relied on it. If Ollie ran your family’s week, two family assistants do the closest thing. If part of what you leaned on it for was work email, or you want a general assistant you text, those are below too.
alfred_ is our product. Every other product is described from its own website, checked October 30, 2026.

For families: Fambot and Ohai
Fambot
Fambot calls itself “your family’s AI chief of staff, turning school emails, newsletters, and calendar updates into a clear daily plan.” Each evening it texts you a plan for the next day, and you can text back with questions or requests.
- What it connects to: Gmail and Google Calendar. Fambot says Outlook, iCloud and other providers are coming.
- How it is priced: free while in beta, no credit card. Fambot says it plans a paid tier later and that the free tier will stay.
Ohai
Ohai calls itself “Your Household Manager”: “Just text or talk to get things done.” It scans emails, PDFs, photos and documents for dates and deadlines, and you can forward it an email.
- What it connects to: Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar.
- How it is priced: a free version with reminders, meal planning and lists; Premium from $9.99 a month.
For work email: alfred_
alfred_ is an AI assistant for client-facing teams, and each person on the team gets their own. It reads your email across up to six Gmail, Outlook and IMAP accounts, flags the emails that need your answer, and keeps one list of the replies you owe and the replies you’re waiting on. It manages your calendar, prepares you for meetings, and sends a morning brief by email or text. You can ask it for things by text, on the web, on iPhone, or from Claude and ChatGPT, and nothing is sent until you approve it.
- What it does not do: it is not a family assistant. It does not plan meals, order groceries, run personal errands or make phone calls.
- Price: plans start at $29.99 a month with a 7-day free trial. The team plan is $49.99 a seat on one bill.
