Kanban Boards
OrganizationVisual project management, built into your command center.
Kanban boards that live right in your dashboard — not in a separate app. Create multiple boards from templates (Weekly Planner, Daily Tasks, Goal Tracker), drag cards between columns, set WIP limits, and track progress with checklists and priorities. Everything stays in context alongside your email, calendar, and tasks.
What alfred_ does
Multiple boards with templates
Start from scratch or pick a template: Weekly Planner, Daily Tasks, Goal Tracker, or Welcome Board. Each board gets its own color, columns, and cards.
Drag-and-drop everything
Drag cards between columns. Reorder cards within a column. Reorder columns themselves. Smooth, responsive drag-and-drop on desktop and touch devices.
Card checklists and subtasks
Break cards into checklist items (up to 100 per card). Track completion progress. Cards auto-complete when all checklist items are done.
WIP limits
Set maximum card counts per column to prevent overloading any stage. Visual warnings when a column is at capacity.
Priorities, labels, and due dates
Assign priority levels (low to urgent), custom-colored labels, and due dates to every card. Visual indicators highlight overdue and high-priority items.
Board statistics
See total cards, completed count, overdue items, high-priority count, and overall completion rate at a glance. Track progress without manual reporting.
How it works
Create a board
Pick a template or start blank. Name your board, choose a color, and your columns are ready.
Add cards
Create cards with titles, descriptions, checklists, priorities, labels, due dates, and assignees. Add as much or as little detail as you need.
Drag and track
Drag cards across columns as work progresses. WIP limits keep you honest. Board stats show real-time progress.
Stay in context
Your boards live in your dashboard alongside email, calendar, and tasks. No separate app to open.

How people use it
Weekly planning
Use the Weekly Planner template with Mon–Fri columns. Drag tasks to the right day as priorities shift. See your entire week laid out visually at a glance.
Client project tracking
Create a board per client. Cards for deliverables, checklists for subtasks, due dates for milestones. See which projects are stuck in review at a glance.
Daily task flow
Daily Tasks template gives you three columns: To Do / Doing / Done. Simple, visual, and effective for powering through a day's work with clear progress.
Goal and milestone tracking
Goal Tracker template maps objectives across Goals / In Progress / Completed. Labels for priority, due dates for deadlines. Visualize what's moving forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many boards can I create?
There's no hard limit on boards. Create as many as you need — one per project, client, or workflow.
What board templates are available?
Weekly Planner (Mon–Fri columns for day-by-day planning), Daily Tasks (To Do / Doing / Done), Goal Tracker (Goals / In Progress / Completed), and Welcome Board (a guided intro with pre-loaded example cards). Each comes with pre-configured columns you can customize.
What are WIP limits?
Work-in-progress limits cap the number of cards allowed in a column. This prevents overloading any stage of your workflow and helps identify bottlenecks.
Can I assign cards to team members?
Yes. Cards support assignees from your board members. Share a board with your team and assign cards to individuals.
How do checklists work?
Each card can have a checklist with up to 100 items. Check them off as you go — cards show a progress indicator and auto-complete when all items are done.
Are kanban boards connected to the task list?
Kanban boards and the task list are separate features designed for different workflows. Tasks are for personal to-dos and quick capture. Kanban boards are for visual project management with columns and stages.
