Beta, when the admin turns it on
From OpenAI's pricing page (chatgpt.com/pricing) and its dots announcement, checked October 28, 2026.
ChatGPT Business is for teams of 2 to 200 and lets you mix seat types, so a team can put Premium seats only on the people who need a dot.
Your first dot, at no extra cost. You name it, connect your apps, and it works toward the goals you give it, on its own cloud computer.
Conversations don’t count toward your limits. Talking with your dot is free of ChatGPT usage limits.
Tasks do. When your dot starts or manages work in Codex or ChatGPT Work, that counts toward your usage limits as usual.
An allowance for deeper work, with extended limits for the first month after launch.
More dots, and more work per dot, are planned: OpenAI says you’ll be able to add dots and scale each one’s speed or monthly workload in the future.
Who can buy it
dots is rolling out to Pro and Business Premium users in what OpenAI calls eligible markets. Enterprise users, including Edu and Healthcare, can try a beta once their workspace admin turns it on. You create your first dot in the ChatGPT desktop app or a desktop browser, then message it from ChatGPT on mobile, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
