Unified Inbox

Every email account, in one place

Connect your Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP accounts and read, search, and reply to all of them in one inbox. No more hopping between tabs to find the thread you half remember.

Yes. alfred_ connects multiple Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP accounts, up to four, and merges them into one unified inbox. You read, search, triage, and reply across all of them in one view, and every reply goes from the right address automatically.

One stream, or one at a time

alfred_ gives you both. By default you switch between accounts one at a time. Flip on "All inboxes" and every account merges into a single list, newest first, with a tag on each message showing where it came from. One place to clear, however many addresses you run.

How it works

  1. 1

    Connect your first inbox

Gmail or Outlook, through secure OAuth, so alfred_ never sees your password.

  2. 2

    Add the rest

Up to four accounts total, three per provider, with Gmail and Outlook side by side. IMAP works too.

  3. 3

    Turn on "All inboxes"

Every account merges into one chronological view, each message tagged with the account it came from.

  4. 4

    Reply from the right address

alfred_ sends from the account the thread belongs to, so nothing ever goes out from the wrong "from."

Who it is for

Founders running more than one thing

company@, the other company@, and personal@, in one view, so nothing falls between them.

Agency owners

Watch agency@ and every client address together, so no account quietly goes a day without a reply.

Consultants and operators

Keep work and personal separate to send from, together to read.

How this beats tabs, forwarding, and the native apps

Switching tabs or apps
One account open at a time
You lose the thread the moment you switch, and miss the one inbox you forgot to check.
Forwarding everything to one Gmail
Pile all mail into a single address
Replies go out from the wrong address, and threading breaks.
The Gmail or Outlook app
Multiple accounts of one provider
Will not put Gmail and Outlook together in a single inbox.

Good to know

  • Up to four accounts total, three per provider. IMAP counts toward the four.
  • "All inboxes" is a view you turn on. By default you switch one account at a time. The merged view appears once you connect a second account.
  • Gmail labels and Outlook categories stay native to each account.
  • You choose which account each reply sends from. alfred_ defaults to the thread's account.
  • Works with Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many email accounts can I connect?

Up to four accounts total, with a maximum of three per provider (Gmail or Outlook). IMAP accounts count toward the four.

Can I mix Gmail and Outlook in one inbox?

Yes. The unified view merges Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP together in one chronological list, with each message tagged by the account it came from.

Is it a real unified inbox or just an account switcher?

Both, your choice. By default you switch between accounts one at a time. Turn on "All inboxes" and every account merges into one stream, newest first.

Which account does my reply send from?

The account the thread belongs to, automatically. You can change it before you send. Nothing goes out from the wrong address by accident.

Does triage work across all my accounts?

Yes. alfred_ triages and manages your connected accounts in one unified view, so the email that needs a reply surfaces no matter which address it landed in.

Can I search across all accounts at once?

Yes. Full-text search runs across every connected account, so you can find a thread without remembering which inbox it was in.

Is my email data secure?

Each account connects through OAuth 2.0, so alfred_ never sees your password. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never used to train AI models. You can revoke access anytime.
