What goes on Needs you?
Anything in your email you'd be upset to miss: a reply you owe, a deadline, money or a contract, an invite, or someone important waiting. Newsletters and receipts stay off it.
How does alfred_ decide what needs me?
It reads each new email with the thread around it and asks whether you would be upset to miss it. If you would, it goes on your list with a line saying why. Your rules count too: mail from a sender you keep on top lands there.
Does it come off when I handle it?
Yes. Reply to the thread, add it as a to-do, or dismiss it, and it comes off your list.
Can I tell it a sender always matters?
Yes. Make a rule that keeps a sender on top, and their mail goes on Needs you.
Which accounts does it read?
Gmail (including Google Workspace), Outlook (including Microsoft 365), iCloud and any inbox that signs in with IMAP. Up to six accounts, on one list.
Does alfred_ send anything for me?
Only when you tell it to. Email goes out when you send it, when you ask alfred_ to send one, or from a rule you set up.
Is Needs you on my phone?
Yes. The same list is in the iPhone app, and your morning text tells you what needs you that day.
