Create a note for a topic, project, or meeting that alfred_ keeps updating over time, so each deal or thread has one source of truth.

## The prompt

- Make a note called \[NAME] about \[TOPIC].

Notes are alfred_'s long-form memory. Once created, you can keep appending updates over time, see [Track a topic in a running note](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/prompt-book/cross-tool/append-to-running-note).

## What alfred_ does

1. Creates the note with the name you give
2. Optionally seeds it with initial context if you provided any
3. Returns the note for review
4. Available immediately, you can append, search, or rename

## Tips

- **Name it well**: the name is how you'll reference it later ("Show me my X note", "append to X")
- **Seed with context**: paste in starter content if you have it, otherwise alfred_ creates it empty
- **One note per topic, not per source**: a deal note covers all emails, calls, and meetings about that deal, don't make per-call notes

## Variations

- Make a note called '2026 PMF' tracking all 10 companies in our pilot
- Create a note for the Acme deal
- Start a note for my Q3 planning
- Make a note from this meeting

## Best for

Long-running topics that should accumulate context, deals, projects, hiring loops, fundraising tracks, anything that benefits from a single source of truth.
