# Connect your tools

alfred_ works from the accounts you connect: email and calendars first, then chat, CRM and file apps. You sign in to each with its own login and can disconnect it any time.

## Email and calendars

Connect from **Settings → Connected Accounts**. A Google or Microsoft account brings its mailbox and its calendar together.

| Provider | What connects | Guide |
| - | - | - |
| Google | Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive and Tasks | [Gmail](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/gmail) |
| Microsoft | Outlook, Outlook Calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint and To Do | [Outlook](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/outlook) |
| Microsoft shared mailbox | A team address like support@ that you can open in Outlook | [Outlook](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/outlook#shared-mailboxes) |
| iCloud | iCloud Mail and iCloud Calendar, each with an app-specific password from Apple | [Calendars](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/calendars) |
| Other email | Any IMAP and SMTP mailbox | Settings → Connected Accounts |

You can connect up to six accounts, in any mix. Gmail, Outlook, IMAP mailboxes and Microsoft shared mailboxes all count toward the six. Your mail from every account shows together in Inbox, your calendars merge when alfred_ looks for open time, and you choose which address to send from under **Settings → Email**.

*Settings → Connected Accounts on a test account. Each account lists what it brings; Drive and Tasks turn on separately. The address is hidden.*

## Other apps

Open **Integrations** in the sidebar, pick an app and sign in with that app's own login.

- **Chat**: Slack (the channels and DMs you're in) and Microsoft Teams (your 1:1 and group chats). See [Slack and Microsoft Teams](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/slack-and-teams).
- **CRM**: HubSpot and Salesforce. See [HubSpot and Salesforce](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/crm).
- **Files**: Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint.
- **Meetings**: Zoom links, plus notes and transcripts from Fireflies, Fathom, Granola, Otter and Read.ai, and Calendly bookings.
- **Tasks and projects**: Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Notion, Todoist, Asana, Monday.com, Linear, Jira, Confluence, Airtable, GitHub and Sentry.
- **Money**: Stripe, QuickBooks and Square.

Some apps are read-only: Fireflies, Fathom, Granola, Otter, Read.ai, Calendly, GitHub, Sentry and Stripe. alfred_ looks things up in them when you ask and doesn't change anything there.

## How access works

- You connect each account or app yourself, and alfred_ reads only what you can read.
- It changes something in an app only when you ask. Changes that reach other people, like a CRM update or a message, are shown to you first.
- **Remove** an account in Settings → Connected Accounts, or disconnect an app from its page in Integrations. alfred_ stops reading or sending on it right away.

## If a connection breaks

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| "Needs reconnect" next to an account | The sign-in expired, usually after a password change. Click **Reconnect**. |
| "Need admin approval" on a Microsoft work account | Your organization approves new apps centrally. See [Microsoft 365 admin approval](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/microsoft-admin-approval). |
| "This app is blocked" on Google Workspace | Your Workspace admin restricts third-party apps. See [Gmail](https://get-alfred.ai/docs/connect/gmail#troubleshooting). |
| Connected, but no mail yet | Recent mail arrives within a minute; older mail over the next few minutes. |
